Synopsis
A unique profile of British pop superstar Robbie Williams. It took a year and a half to obtain permission to film the elaborate dance sequence on Regent Street in London, which is owned by the British royal family. Two nights before filming was scheduled, Queen Elizabeth II died after spending a full week rehearsing, and filming had to be postponed. Everyone had to be paid, including shopkeepers and crew, and production insurance did not cover losses from the monarch’s death. Producers had to raise additional funds to film the sequence, which was shot five months later. The title character Robbie Williams is portrayed as a chimpanzee. Robbie Williams is not actually a chimpanzee.
