Synopsis
Two inexperienced high school students decide to invite themselves to the last big party before the millennium on New Year’s Eve 1999. The night gets even crazier than they could have imagined when the clock strikes midnight. Y2K stars Rachel Zegler, Julian Dennison, and Jaeden Martell discuss their characters, reveal the references that came to mind, and share the artists’ songs they listened to to get into their character’s shoes. Rachel Zegler replaced Jen Ortega in the lead role due to scheduling conflicts.

To call it less funny than Superbad is an insult, but this movie is an all-time great.
I love watching movies like this
It’s not on par with Y2K, but I still had a great time with this movie. I found it very entertaining from a comedy standpoint, as well as the direction of the story. I won’t go into the story at all, because if you go into this adventure blind like I did, the journey it takes you on will be even more enjoyable. I had no idea what was going to happen.
I laughed out loud several times
And there’s a surprising amount of heart in it. I liked the characters, not to mention that many of them are memorable and funny. There’s also a strong ’90s nostalgia factor. We’re starting to see the nostalgia pull shift from the 80s (which didn’t do anything for me) to the 90s (which hit me hard).

So many things took me back to my childhood. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and will watch it again. Comedies have become so rare, especially those rated R. If you want to see more, see this movie in theaters.
